It was a good book and I enjoyed reading it. I think using the perspective of Evyn made the book more believable. It was smart to place him on the loosing side of the english. I think if he had been on the winning side his name would have been recorded somewhere. I always like the books that PACES has us read. My mom asked me the other day which one I liked the most and I could not pick. Even spent together, an eternity for those two would eventually become unbearable. Though they have their love for each other to sustain them for a little while, perhaps a lifetime or two, it would easily fade, just as every other human emotion does. During the time in which said emotion would still be present they'd be striving to find fulfillment either in each other, or in something Elysium has to offer.
