Tuition and Fees

The PAideia Classical Program tuition and fees are very reasonable, escpecially when compared to traditional private school options. Annual tuition for a pre-K student can be as little as $1000 per year, while a high school student with extra electives can be around $4000 or less.

For families with many children, tuition is discounted for each additional student, and then capped after four.

Several payment options are available with additional discounts for early payments and payment by cash or check as well as extended payment plans for a nominal fee.

For more information on tuition and fees, please review our 2011-12 Expected Fee Schedule or our Tuition Calculation Worksheet.

Scholarships

There are a limited number of scholarships available in cases of financial hardship.

One scholarship is offered on each campus for every ten students enrolled. This allows campuses to remain financially solvent, and yet respond to hardship situations.

  • You may apply for a hardship scholarship by contacting us.
  • Parent Training and Conferences

Preparing a year’s curriculum is a very extensive and time consuming endeavor. Our goal is to facilitate home education for your family by doing the curriculum research, preparing lesson plans, teaching, grading and offering elective classes for the well-rounded educated student. This gives you time to be a parent again and your child accountability to others as well as you. PAideia is the perfect balance between home schooling alone and a private school.

The PAideia program sponsors training events and conferences throughout the year. Most seminars require only one hour to present, however some are taught in multiple sessions. Weeknight support groups and weekend conference dates are now being scheduled for the next school year. Please check our website events page for available dates and topics.

Here are just a few of the topics usually covered in these events:

    • Motivations for Teachers and Students
    • Preparing Lesson Plans
    • Evaluating Your Student Portfolios
    • Preparing for Standardized Testing
    • Creative Teaching Techniques
    • Preparing a High School Transcript
    • Discipline/Management in the Home

    Uniforms

The intent of the dress code policy is to reduce individualism to help maintain a learning environment with limited distractions.  It also insures a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance of students.  The Headmaster has the authority to make final decisions when questions arise about the dress code.

    • Uniforms must be ordered form our uniform supplier, Land's End (Click here for more details).  Pants/skirts/shorts may also be purchased at Academy (sports store).
    • All students must wear Paideia uniforms with the Paideia logo visible at all times.  All shirts are to be tucked in while on campus.  Paideia polo shirt colors are royal blue and black.
    • The white peter pan shirt is to be worn only under the Paideia jumper.  The white oxford shirt may be worn for a more formal uniform.  Shorts, skirts, and skorts must be knee length.  They may be navy or khaki in color.
    • A belt must be worn within belt loops and cannot hang below the waistline
    • Students are not allowed to wear uniform clothing that is too tight, too baggy, or items with rips or holes.
    • Sweaters and sweatshirts with the Paideia logo can be worn on cold days or a long sleeved shirt may be worn under the student's polo.
    • No hats or flip flops of any kind may be worn on campus.

    Academic Calendar

The PAideia Classical Education Program uses a thirty-two (32) week schedule that is divided into two semester (fall/spring) and four quarters. There are planned breaks in the calendar that align with traditional holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter) but there are also special breaks for a special event week each semester. The program begins in late August each year, and is complete by mid May. Exact dates are published each spring for the coming school year.

    Volunteers

Each campus and study group depend on parent volunteers. These parents pitch in, helping with a plethora of tasks, from grading papers to taking care of a teacher's new baby during class time. Mom volunteers help new moms learn the ropes, and other moms organize and direct study groups and help with special events.

Please contact the Headmaster of your campus to find out more about volunteer opportunities.

PACES and the PAideia Classical Education Program do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic
origin, or sex in the administration of its policies, admissions, financial aid, and other school-directed programs.
